Havening Techniques
You don't have to tell me the whole story.
Havening Techniques® is a gentle, hands-on practice that works through touch and quiet attention rather than talking everything through. What you share is up to you. So is what we do next.

Yes, there is touch. And you are in charge of it.
Havening uses light stroking on the arms, the hands and the face. That is the part people want to know about before anything else, so let's get it out of the way early.
I will always tell you what I am about to do and ask you first. Plenty of people would rather do the touch themselves while I talk them through it, and that works perfectly well. You can change your mind partway through, and you do not need to explain why.
Who I see
Havening is offered for people experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or a shaken sense of self-belief.
Some people arrive knowing exactly what they want to sit with. Others just know that something has been heavier lately and they cannot quite name it. Both are fine. You do not need the right words before you come.
What actually happens

We talk for a bit first, so I understand what you are bringing and you get a sense of me. I explain the technique and what I will be doing.
Then we work. You stay awake, aware and able to stop at any point. Nothing happens that you have not agreed to.
Afterwards we sit for a few minutes before you head off. I do not rush people out the door.

I'm Lisa
I trained in psychology and counselling, and I spent a long time in the world of talking things through. I still believe in it. I also came to think it was not always getting people all the way to where they wanted to be.
Havening was the thing that changed how I work. I use it exclusively now, from a room in Red Beach.
The practical bits
- $75 a session
- Usually about an hour. If $75 is out of reach, koha is welcome. Get in touch and we will work something out.
- In person, in Red Beach
- I do not work online, but if that is what suits you better I am happy to point you towards practitioners who do.
- Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
- Current times are on the booking calendar.
Not sure yet?
That is completely normal. Most people have a question or two before they book, and I would far rather answer them than have you sit on it.
